Breitbart’s website has done a stellar job at vetting the President when no one else would. They’ve uncovered a booklet by Obama’s literary agent in which the biographical information about Obama states that he was “born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.” Joel Pollack says that the article is not a “birther” claim per se, but more of an indictment of the media who have presented Obama as something that it turns out he’s not.

Here’s the biographical information printed on the booklet:

Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.  The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation.   He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.

As usual, Charles Johnson’s righteous indignation shows through. The Lizard King tries to rip apart the Breitbart team for publishing a birther article while they claim it’s not, never once touching the heart of the matter which is the mysterious booklet that claims Obama was born in Kenya. Just a thought Chuck; if proof were to surface that indisputably place Obama’s birth as being somewhere outside of the United States, would you then poo-poo it based on your perception of birthers? I’m guessing the answer would be yes.

In related what is and what should never be Obama news, Jeremiah Wright has some interesting things to say about the man that was elected President in 2008. Of course had the media done it’s job back then he probably wouldn’t have been. But I guess that’s the point, isn’t it?

Man, we suck.

Planet Earth in a tight spot.

Mankind is draining the earth’s resources so quickly the globe would be bled dry before the end of the century at this rate, a new report shows.

Humans are living outside their means, depleting natural resources like forests, air and water 50% faster than the planet can renew, according to the 2012 World Wildlife Fund’s “Living Planet Report” released this month.

If the trends aren’t reversed, by 2030 we’d need more than two Planet Earths to sustain human activity, according to the study.

“If we just do business as usual…we’re just going to continue moving in this direction. At some point, the earth’s going to just give out. We don’t know when. But that’s a pretty scary thing to think about,” said Colby Loucks, director of conservation science at WWF. “The question is, we don’t know what the tipping point is.”

Here’s the thing. The Earth will “give out” one day. Nobody knows when, and furthermore, nobody can even really wager a guess. So quit trying to scare everyone into giving more money to lefty environmentalist groups and projects. You can’t stop the natural progression of time or the Earth’s “aging” process. Give it a rest, already.

From the Washington Times:

President Obama’s budget suffered a second embarrassing defeat Wednesday, when senators voted 99-0 to reject it.

Coupled with the House’s rejection in March, 414-0, that means Mr. Obama’s budget has failed to win a single vote in support this year.

Republicans forced the vote by offering the president’s plan on the Senate floor.

Democrats disputed that it was actually the president’s plan, arguing that the slim amendment didn’t actually match Mr. Obama’s budget document, which ran thousands of pages. But Republicans said they used all of the president’s numbers in the proposal, so it faithfully represented his plan.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, Alabama Republican, even challenged Democrats to point out any errors in the numbers and he would correct them — a challenge no Democrats took up.

Here’s an idea. How about proposing a budget that’s so preposterous that no one in the House or Senate will vote for it so I can run against a do nothing Congress? Sounds like a plan.

Last year it was 97-0.

Rush Limbaugh has an affectionate term he uses for the mainstream media. He calls them the “drive by” media for their propensity to wreak havoc and then move on to the next victim. The term is quite apropos. I like to call them the “hot potato” media. They’re all over a story and then they drop it like a hot potato. Case in point, the Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman story. Haven’t heard much about this much lately, have you. Like I said, hot potato.

ABC News Exclusive: Zimmerman Medical Report Shows Broken Nose, Lacerations After Trayvon Martin Shooting

A medical report compiled by the family physician of accused Trayvon Martin murderer George Zimmerman and obtained exclusively by ABC News found that Zimmerman was diagnosed with a “closed fracture” of his nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after he fatally shot Martin during an alleged altercation.

It’s safe to say that the Trayvon Martin story can now be considered a “hot potato” story.

UPDATE: Trayvon Martin’s autopsy shows that he had injuries to his knuckles as well. But lets not expect to see much about these two revelations in the hot potato media.

Bishop Harry Jackson, a black minister, has spoken out against Barack Obama’s sudden evolution into the pro-gay marriage circle. For that, he gets the full, smart ass, Chris Matthews treatment who told Jackson, “I hope you evolve.” Matthews tried to stick an “I’m just kidding” on the end of the smarmy statement, but Matthews’ record of being belligerent, condescending, and just plain old mean to guests who disagree with him speaks for itself.

Here’s the transcript via Newsbusters:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Do you think he would have been chasing after the kid with long hair and cutting his hair or he would have been the one protecting the kid with long hair in high school?

BISHOP HARRY JACKSON: He would have been protecting the kid with long hair.

MATTHEWS: Right. I thought so. But you’re with the guy who was going after the kid with long hair.

JACKSON: No, no, no. I’m not necessarily with him right now.

MATTHEWS: Oh, you’re not with Romney?

JACKSON: I’m not with Romney at this point. I want to say something about righteousness and justice. The Bible talks very clearly about how righteousness, which is like personal morality and holiness. It also talks about justice. What’s broken in American politics is that the Democrats think they own social justice. The Republicans think they own righteousness, but the Bible doesn’t take righteousness or justice, it takes righteousness and justice.

5:43

JACKSON: Why not let the Muslims have polygamy and bigamy?

MATTHEWS: Mr. Bishop, I hope you evolve. Thank you very much. I’m just teasing.

JACKSON: That’s all right.

Interesting how Matthews continues to push the false narrative about the so called bullying incident from Romney’s high school days. Another thing that just bugs the crap out of me. Those who are hailing Obama’s evolution, or those criticizing him now, for that matter, do they really believe that he didn’t hold those beliefs all along?

I mean are there seriously people out there who supported Obama and then after his statements about gay marriage a few days ago changed their minds? Really?

The Mexican Drug War continued over the weekend with authorities finding 49 headless bodies near Nuevo Leon on the side of the highway. The remains were found stuffed in black plastic bags.

Monterrey, Mexico (CNN) – Mexican authorities found at least 49 decapitated and dismembered bodies along a highway in a northern border state Sunday morning, officials said.

The remains were left along the road in Nuevo Leon state, between the cities of Monterrey and Reynosa.

A message written on a wall nearby appeared to refer to the Zetas drug cartel.

“This continues to be violence between criminal groups. This is not an attack against the civilian population,” said Jorge Domene, Nuevo Leon’s state security spokesman.

He said it appeared as though the victims were killed a day or two ago, somewhere else, and that their bodies were then dropped off.

Officials said they had not ruled out the possibility that the victims could be Central American immigrants or residents of another state, telling reporters Sunday that there had not been many local missing persons reports in recent days.

But the area has become a battleground for a brutal conflict between the Zetas and the Gulf cartel, and reports of forced disappearances have become increasingly common in recent years.

Borderland Beat: Police find 49 mutiulated dead near Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

Just a few weeks left in the Wisconsin recall election and Scott Walker appears to be doing well. A current poll has him leading by 9 while liberal spinsters try and sell the public that the polls are even and that Barrett has a chance to pull this thing off. Meanwhile, Wisconsin Democrats are already looking for somebody to blame in the likely event that Barrett is unable to unseat Walker. Who better to blame than the DNC?

As William Jacobson points out:

If this trend holds up, it will fulfull the many predictions that once there was a name and a face on the Democratic ticket, the enthusiasm for recalling Walker would wane.  Tom Barrett just doesn’t appear to be that popular.

And more ominously for Democrats, the locals are griping about a lack of DNC support.

That’s not surprising.  The DNC is marshalling resources to help Obama.  Tom Barrett will have to wait.

Take nothing for granted.

Take nothing for granted, indeed. Paul at Powerline seems to think that perhaps the National Democratic Party is trying to stay as far away from this thing as possible in case Walker holds the unions off. Unfortunately for Dems, King Midas has already touched the Barrett campaign.

Seriously? Fortunately I’ve been away from the computer much of the day so I’ve been spared the feeling of having to write about this. You know, those stories that pop up on a daily basis and if you don’t post something about it you get this sort of bloggers guilt? What can you say, really? It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen or heard. Luckily Maetenloch chose this as one of his issues to write about in the Overnight Open Thread at Ace, and he included this little gem:

Of course there was plenty of talk about it around the web today:

Donald Douglas at American Power talks about Barebackers for Barack!

Darleen Click points out perhaps the Gayest statement ever. I might add, it’s maybe the gayest picture ever; although that one of him on the bike would have fit as well.

Ed Driscoll runs down the history of Newsweeklies, trying perhaps to make sense of it all.

Jazz Shaw says Newsweek went where none have gone before. Indeed.

I just wonder how Michelle feels about being married to the first gay president? I mean, after she went through all of that trouble to keep women at the White House in check, making sure that Oprah wasn’t waddling around in her way and all.

Obama’s New Campaign Theme Song

On May 12, 2012, in 2012, Barack Obama, by TWB

I’m beginning to think Obama should have went ahead with the annual Martha’s Vineyard vacation this year. It could very well be he last one as President. Now I don’t want to get too cocky, but things are not looking good for Barack Obama. I’m still amazed at his meteoric rise and fall. When you compare where he was three and a half years ago to where he is now, it’s unfathomable.

A couple of stories out this weekend, combined with the overall decent of his persona have me thinking about a possible campaign theme song for Obama this year. More on that in a second.

First up, John Hinderaker highlights the unbelievable Rasmussen daily tracking poll that finds Mitt Romney with a commanding 8 point lead on the President. Sure, it’s May, but 8 points? Juxtapose Obama’s messianic 2008 Summer with him now being 8 points behind Mr. Plastic and you’ve got yourself something that bestselling books are made of. It truly is stunning. That takes care of Obama’s perception here at home; but what about his perception in the world?

Remember when he was giving those soaring speeches in Berlin and Cairo? Remember when the world was as enamored with Obama as your average American Idol fan was with Lady Gaga? Now, not so much. The Associated Press has a story that blows my mind. First that they would even write it, second that it’s true. The headline says it all:

Around world, Obama’s presidency a disappointment

In Europe, where more than 200,000 people thronged a Berlin rally in 2008 to hear Barack Obama speak, there’s disappointment that he hasn’t kept his promise to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, and perceptions that he’s shunting blame for the financial crisis across the Atlantic.

In Mogadishu, a former teacher wishes he had sent more economic assistance and fewer armed drones to fix Somalia’s problems. And many in the Middle East wonder what became of Obama’s vow, in a landmark 2009 speech at the University of Cairo, to forge a closer relationship with the Muslim world.

In a world weary of war and economic crises, and concerned about global climate change, the consensus is that Obama has not lived up to the lofty expectations that surrounded his 2008 election and Nobel Peace Prize a year later.

I wonder if Obama and those surrounding him knew of the dangers of allowing the expectations of his Presidency to reach such unrealistic heights? Or did they even care at the time? Has his whole Presidency, like every move he seems to make these days, been one big Political gamble?

I can only imagine the disappointment for those who truly believed in what they thought he was.

Now. For Obama’s new campaign song below the fold.
