He shouldn’t. Like I said when I first posted about West’s comments, it’s not a stretch for Democrats who lean towards Socialism and Marxism to go full fledged Communist. West agrees. He clarified his remarks on Tuesday when he was asked if he regrets saying that half the Dems in the H0use were Communists:
“I don’t regret it whatsoever,” said West, who is facing a tough race for re-election in November.
“There is a very thin line between communism, progressivism, Marxism, Socialism … it’s about nationalizing production, it’s about creating and expanding the welfare state. It’s about this idea of social and economic justice,” said the retired military officer.
West is absolutely right and Democrats can’t deny that there is a very thin line between Marxism, Socialism, Communism, and their progressive beliefs and tendencies. It is what it is. If it’s what they believe they just simply need to embrace it.
