Yeah, this was to be expected from these people. Pajamas Media has the story of how Congressman Elijah Cumming is set to have a minority hearing about Gunwalker, but not to get to the bottom of what really happened and who knew about it; the object of this hearing will be to lay the blame at the NRA and American gun owners.
Testifying at the hearing is Brady campaign president Paul Helmke who also write a piece at Huffpo slamming Darrell Issa and the NRA for their complicity in the Gunwalker scandal.
In all practical respects, Helmke’s appearance has nothing to do with Gunwalker, and everything to do with demagoguery. It is safe to assume that the other anti-gun organizations that will attend the hearing are likewise interested more in proselytizing than fact-finding or demanding accountability.
My contention all along has been that Gunwalker had more to do with demonizing and the eventual diluting of the 2nd Amendment and absolutely nothing to do with nailing cartels or gunrunners.
I honestly can’t wait for ATF director Melson to testify. He’s the scapegoat at this point and he doesn’t like it, one bit. Of course Obama at his press conference yesterday covered for Eric Holder. Which he needs to do in order to maintain the narrative that he [Obama] didn’t know anything.
