Attention all math enthusiasts and science lovers! NASA’s annual Pi Day Challenge is back, and it’s time to put your math skills to the test.
This year, on Pi Day 2024 (March 14th), NASA is inviting participants to solve a series of math problems related to the mathematical constant, pi. The questions in the challenge are based on various NASA missions, including Deep Space Optical Communications technology, Earth-orbiting satellites, rovers on the Moon, and more.
Organized by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Education Office, the challenge aims to engage participants in thinking like scientists and engineers for the exploration of other planets in the solar system. With nearly four dozen different questions available to solve, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their problem-solving skills and learn more about NASA’s groundbreaking missions.
To participate, simply visit the NASA website to find the questions and worksheets online. Once you have completed the challenge, check back for the answers posted by NASA to see how you did.
So, mark your calendars for Pi Day 2024 and join NASA’s Pi Day Challenge for a fun and educational experience that celebrates the wonders of math and science. Let’s come together to explore the endless possibilities of our universe and beyond.
