NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders has vehemently denied recent reports claiming he made a list of NFL teams he would allow his children to play for. Sanders, whose children Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, along with star Travis Hunter, are all potential NFL Draft prospects, refuted the claims as a “stupid lie.”
The reports, which originated from a New York Post article based on Sanders’ appearance on a podcast, alleged that Sanders had a list of six NFL teams he approved his kids playing for. However, Sanders dismissed these reports and stated that he would never limit his children’s options in such a manner.
While Sanders did mention certain cities he would prefer his kids to play in, he did not explicitly mention a specific list of teams. He did, however, make it clear that he does not want his children playing for certain cold-weather cities.
Despite the confusion surrounding the reports, it appears that Sanders is exerting some influence on where his children will play in the NFL Draft. It remains to be seen how this will impact the decisions of Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, as well as Travis Hunter, as they navigate their paths to the professional football league.
