New Court Records Released in Jeffrey Epstein Lawsuit
In a major development, 17 new court records were released on Monday in relation to the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein lawsuit, bringing the total number of documents released to over 200 since last Wednesday. The documents are part of a defamation lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, which was settled back in 2017.
Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding Epstein’s sex trafficking, is at the center of these documents. Among the newly released materials are photographs taken by Sarah Ransome, a witness in the case, showing Epstein, Maxwell, and other young women on Epstein’s private island.
Interestingly, some of these photographs were allegedly taken by Jean Luc Brunel, a French model scout and associate of Epstein. Tragically, Brunel died by suicide in prison last February while awaiting trial on charges related to the rape of underage girls.
Ransome, the photographer, also sent emails to a New York Post reporter back in 2016, making shocking accusations against prominent figures such as Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, and Richard Branson. However, she later admitted that she had invented these claims. Notably, the names of the men accused by Ransome were previously redacted in the unsealed documents.
It’s important to highlight that no evidence supporting Ransome’s allegations was entered into the record of the Giuffre versus Maxwell case. Additionally, the lawsuit filed by Ransome against Epstein, Maxwell, and others was already settled in 2017. Hence, neither Clinton, Trump, nor Branson were accused of any wrongdoing in the Giuffre case.
Prince Andrew, who has denied allegations made by Giuffre, settled a lawsuit she filed against him just last year. Moreover, U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska recently ruled to unseal the names of “John and Jane Does” mentioned in the records.
So far, a total of 208 documents have been unsealed, with around 250 anticipated in total. As more information continues to come to light, the implications of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal are far from over. The release of these court records and photographs provide a deeper insight into the individuals involved and their alleged connections. Stay tuned for further updates on the unfolding Epstein case.
